The Active Living Coalition for Older Adults in Manitoba (ALCOA-MB) is collaborating with the (National) Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women in Sport and Physical Actitivity (CAAWS) to promote communities and cultures that encourage and support the health and well-being of women.
Developed in response to a pan-Canadian survey on the barriers women 55 - 70 face concerning their participation in physical activity and sport, CAAWS is facilitating workshops across Canada. In Manitoba ALCOA-MB is coordinating a French workshop for the Francophone communities on Thursday, February 25, 2010 and an English worshop in Brandon on Friday, February 26, 2010.
Attached for your information is the notice of the English Workshop in Brandon on Friday, February 26, 2010. If you would like information on the French Workshop please contact Georgette Dupuis, at phone: 1-204-953-2255 or email:
